Oh man! It was sad to see Innocentia Sibi bow out of the competition. Those who have been following her journey from the audition phase till last night know how the amount of hard work Inno has consistently put in.
Although Innocentia’s singing talent is unquestionable, a barrage of social media trolls didn’t quite “understand” the hype around her. A common denominator from these comments was that her albinism was some-how used as leverage by the judges in deciding to put her through to the Top 17.
Last night, the 29-year-old graced the Idols stage for the last time . Dressed in a pink dress, Inno bowed out in absolute style. Innocentia Sibi’s elimination from the competition received mixed reactions on the streets of Twitter.
The mood wasn’t all sombre, though. The remaining contestants had impressive runs with their performances.
The Top 9 Idols contestants are, Snenhlanhla Sneziey Msomi, Luyolo Yiba, Nqobile Gumede, Mmangaliso Gumbi, Nolo Seodisha, Viggy and Virginia Qwabe, Micayla Oelofse and Dinky Kunene.
